Riese & Muller Swing: The urban electric bike par excellence

The smooth running of the powerful Bosch motor (Active or Performance Line) is combined with a suspension fork and spring-loaded seatpost. And like any classic Dutch bike, the Riese & Muller Swing also features matching baskets for the stem and rack.

Just like on a real "Dutch" electric bike

The shape of the frame is reminiscent of a classic Dutch bike. You are strongly supported in your effort by a 500 Wh battery in combination with a perfectly integrated Bosch motor. Thanks to the low straddle height, the Riese & Muller Swing is easy to handle in city traffic. The integrated cable routing further emphasizes the elegant look.

Shimano Nexus 8 speed transmission (Swing city and Silent)

The integrated Shimano Nexus transmission offers 8 perfectly spaced gears and requires very little maintenance.

Bosch battery 500 w

The impressive range of the Swing (70-90 km) is ensured by a 500 Wh battery positioned on the carrier to facilitate climbing onto the bike. The battery is light and well integrated and does not affect the balance of the bike. It can be easily removed and charged off the bike if necessary.

The Bosch Active Line Plus engine (Swing City)

With up to 250% pedal assist, the Bosch Active Line Plus motor is perfect for city and country riding. With its unobtrusive design, this motor blends discreetly into the frame. The torque of up to 50 Nm ensures smooth and harmonious acceleration. Thanks to the balanced driving feel and the automatic disengagement of the engine without any pedaling resistance at speeds over 25 km/h, every ride is an experience.

Gates carbon belt and Enviolo transmission (Swing Vario)

The Gates Carbon Drive belt requires no lubrication, never rusts and lasts much longer than most chains. It is made of high tensile strength carbon fibre. Whether in the city or the country, off-road or on the road, with Gates Carbon Drive belt you can reach any destination, in any weather.

The Enviolo 380 uses rotating, tilt-adjustable balls that are positioned between two discs. This makes it easy to shift gears when stopped. With the Enviolo 380 gear hub, you always ride in the perfect gear ratio with no gaps between gear changes, because with an infinite number of gears in a 380% gear ratio range, shifting is a very smooth process.

Bosch Performance Line engine (Swing Silent and Vario)

This motor offers 250 watts of power, an increased maximum torque of 65 Nm and up to 300% pedaling assistance. It is a real performance powerhouse. We really appreciate its dynamic starting behavior and powerful assistance up to 25 km/h, which guarantees excellent performance on any terrain. The Bosch Performance motor also impresses with its very quiet operation and very low pedaling resistance - even when it is switched off.

Bosch Smartphone Hub -

The Bosch SmartphoneHub and the free app turn your smartphone into a complete dashboard that combines smart navigation with live weather, fitness data and much more. The standard functions of your smartphone are seamlessly integrated and can be controlled from the handlebars. The adjustable stem angle allows you to choose between a sportier or more upright seating position.

Front and rear baskets

Optional front and rear baskets with a quick release system have been developed specifically for the Swing. Sturdy and with an elegant rattan look, they complete the image of a modern Dutch bike. The front basket has a capacity of about 12 l and a load capacity of up to 5 kg. The baskets for the luggage rack can be attached on the right, left or both sides like bicycle panniers. In this way, the MIK luggage rack remains usable. The large capacity of approx. 22 l is designed for a load of approx. 7 kg each.

Riese & Muller RX Connect

The RX chip turns your Riese & Muller into a connected electric bike: simply book the appropriate RX service online, so you can geo-locate your bike at any time and operate the bike with the RX Connect app. Depending on the service package, you can protect your bike with full theft protection via GPS tracking and the theft recovery service. The RX app automatically records your bike's location and riding statistics via GPS. The Lock function informs you if your Swing is moved.
